FAQs

FAQs

  • What other costs do pools/teams/clubs incur other than design, engineering, and purchase of the structure?

The outstanding items that you need are provided in our Proforma with estimated ranges we have seen for current projects. All Trades required are defined using local contractors (electrician, plumber, general contractor).

  • What is the timeline for initial erection?

Engineering – about 4-8 weeks. Structure manufacturing drawing packet 2-4 weeks.   Manufacturing of the Structure - 14-18 weeks. Shipping – 1 week.  Installation – 4-6 days typically.

  • What are foundations? Do I need them? How big are they?

    • Concrete foundations can be continuous or just at the baseplate locations.
    • Foundations are required to properly secure the architectural membrane structure and be code compliant.
    • Size of foundation required varies based on location, city/county code requirements and size of structure (dictated by the engineer).
    • Whether the structure is Temporary, Semi-Permanent, or Permanent also affects this.
  • Who does the foundations?

Foundations must be installed by a Licensed General Contractor as they require an inspection. We do provide the stamped foundation plans for the contractor to install, and the Building Official can follow.

  • Do you handle lighting?

We recommend that you let your electrician acquire the lighting and we are happy to direct them for proper lighting and layout inside the structure.

  • How does the structure withstand inclement weather, such as heavy wind and/or snow?

Our design and engineering are the same local code requirements for all buildings. We adhere to the IBC Codes, ASCE Codes and all local overwrites.

  • Do you do the permitting?

We do provide engineering documentation to assist you through the process.
